The AI Collective Hampton Roads

AI Collective Hampton Roads LLC

Get your team shipping with AI, not just piloting it

Most teams have run a pilot and stalled. We deliver the same curriculum that takes people from install to deployed at the chapter, in-house to your team, against the work you actually do.

Commercial work delivered by the LLC. Separate from the free chapter.

What this usually looks like before we get involved

  • Two or three people use AI heavily and nobody else on the team touches it.
  • You ran a pilot last year, it worked, and nothing ever shipped out of it.
  • Licenses are being paid for every month and nobody can say what changed.
  • The people who could drive this are the busiest people you have.
  • Every vendor conversation opens with a platform you would have to adopt.

What you actually get

Your work, not a sandbox

We train against the real thing your team does every week. Exercises built on somebody else's toy repository do not survive contact with your codebase or your process.

Something running by the end

The measure is not that people understood it. It is that something your team built is in front of a real user. That is the same bar we hold at the chapter.

The team, not one champion

Concentrating this in one enthusiastic person is how you end up with a single point of failure who then takes another job. We spread it deliberately.

An honest read on what not to do

Some of what people want to automate should not be. A real part of the value here is telling you which parts, before you have spent money on them.

Two ways to work together

Fixed price, scoped up front

No hourly billing and no open-ended retainer. We scope it, we price it, and that is the number you pay.

  • Team training: the Ship It curriculum delivered in-house, against your real work
  • Implementation sprint: we build one working AI workflow in your business, start to finish
  • Both, sequenced: train the team, then build the first thing alongside them so they watch it done
  • Delivered by the LLC on an invoice. There is no platform you are required to adopt.

Questions we get

How is this different from the free chapter?
The chapter is a non-profit, it is free, and it is open to anybody. This is commercial work delivered by AI Collective Hampton Roads LLC to your company. The curriculum overlaps. The delivery, the pace, and the accountability do not.
Do we have to adopt a particular tool?
No. We will have opinions and we will tell you what we would pick and why, but you are not adopting a platform in order to work with us.
What size team does this suit?
It works from about three people upward. Below that, honestly, come to the free chapter first. It will get you most of the way there and it will not cost you anything.
How long does it take?
Training runs four weeks, one session a week, because a deadline is the thing that makes it stick. A sprint is usually two weeks. On the first call we will tell you which one you actually need.

If we are not the right fit

We will say so on the first call rather than sell you something that will not work. If what you need is a platform migration, a data engineering project, or another headcount, that is not us, and we will point you toward who it is. The scoping conversation costs you nothing, and you are welcome to take the plan away and run it yourself.

Start with a scoping conversation

Tell us what your team does and where it is stuck. We will come back with a scope and a number.
